July - Ditchling Beacon Hiking Trip
Time & Location
About the Event
We will meet at 9:30 at Stanmer Park. The circular walk goes through woodlands and open fields. The track is part of the South Downs National park and includes a few moderate hills and wide-open grassland.
After about two hours we will arrive at Ditchling Beacon, the highest point in East Sussex with its panoramic views and famous windswept trees. Don't forget to bring a warm jumper and sandwiches for a picnic.
Surprisingly, the weather is mostly all right. We will walk in any weather conditions, but we have an alternative route planned in case it rains.
